ICE attacks have become rampant in our communities. They have been kidnapping people from workplaces, court check-ins, and even schools. They also disappear them; many times, loved ones cannot locate their family members once in detention.
It can feel pretty daunting at times, but if there is something that keeps us hopeful is knowing that there are people who will not be silent and will fight back against these attacks.
And that's us.
We have been fighting to keep ICE out of our communities by responding to ICE presence and by continuing to mobilize to shut down Delaney Hall in Newark. In our efforts we have even confronted ICE officials head on.
