Fund for States strives to create a democracy that works for every voter. We work with state and local election officials and community groups to educate the public to prevent disinformation and build trust in our election systems while holding anti-democracy actors accountable.
Despite the success of 2022 in beating back election denial, the fight for democracy is far from over. With the 2024 presidential election dominating the headlines, bad actors continue to spread conspiracy theories and misinformation about the *last* presidential election and using it as justification for everything from anti-democracy legislation to threatening election workers.
With voters currently casting ballots in the presidential primaries, it is imperative to provide voters with clear, effective, and timely information in order to restore their confidence in our elections and combat election disinformation that threatens our rich democratic history.
