This November, Cy-Fair voters will decide five ballot propositions, and every one of them matters.
Proposition A is what keeps people in our schools: teachers, staff, and the buses that get our kids to class. Propositions B through E repair and replace what we already own. No new buildings, just roofs, air conditioning, buses and technology.
It is critical that all five pass.
District leaders have been plain about what happens if they don't. Transportation is the first thing cut. Schools close, and fast. And the librarians and counselors we already lost are not coming back.
The short-term solution is protecting CFISD's ability to operate today. The long-term solution is electing a Governor and legislators who will adequately fund public education tomorrow.
We can defend CFISD's ability to operate while holding Greg Abbott and the Legislature accountable for the funding crisis they created.
