State-wide grassroots coalition leaders from “Resistance” organizing networks in Virginia, Texas, Ohio, Georgia, Michigan, and California created Grassroots Action Project Network to address the dire need for sustained funding for volunteer-led local progressive groups.
Your gift will be used to power these currently under-resourced community organizers: leaders who train volunteers to canvas and phone bank, plan and lead protests and events, and build coalitions to drive the change we need. Because they live where they organize, unlike staffers with the coordinated campaign or employees of national organizations, these grassroots organizers are best equipped to recruit and sustain year round volunteers, identify key races in their state, and use relational organizing to connect with critical voters.
Since GAP funds organizers who operate on shoestring budgets, every dollar you donate makes a huge difference. But of course, the more generous you can be, the more boots on the ground we can fund.
