The Garcia Memorial Fund

In honor of Antonio Mata Garcia, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and devoted husband, we invite you to celebrate his legacy by supporting a cause close to his heart. Antonio, who passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024, at the age of 86, dedicated his life to hard work and the well-being of his family.

Antonio's remarkable journey from his early years in Texas to becoming a successful cement mason in Central California exemplifies his resilience, commitment, and dedication. He was a true champion of the working class, showing unparalleled strength and determination throughout his life.

To honor Antonio’s legacy and continue his commitment to supporting hardworking individuals, we encourage you to make a donation to an organization dedicated to advocating for workers' rights. Your contribution will help empower workers and promote economic justice, reflecting the values that Antonio lived by.

Please consider donating to Central Valley Workers Center, an organization that champions the rights and welfare of workers, including immigrant laborers, and works tirelessly to create a fair and equitable workplace for all.

A memorial celebration of Antonio’s life will take place on Friday, September 13, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 435 Berkeley Ave., Claremont, CA 91711.
