Elections in 2016 and 2018 cemented the belief that Gwinnett County is key to statewide success for Democrats moving forward. That’s why the Gwinnett County Democratic Party is fundraising to execute an ambitious, game-changing Coordinated Campaign designed to mobilize Democratic base voters ahead of the November 3 election. The Coordinated Campaign’s approach consists of an absentee ballot chase, voter contact program and a robust election protection program that would cover all 156 precincts with trained poll watchers.
With Gwinnett hitting a recent year high water mark for Democratic share of the vote at 56.6% in 2018, the county is undoubtedly on its way to turning blue once again. The Coordinated Campaign’s primary goal is increase the Democratic share above 60% which flip the state blue AND minimize roll off so that down ballot Democrats will benefit from what may be the biggest surge in blue votes this century.
