We just made history. After two years of relentless organizing, more than 7 million voter contacts, and an unwavering determination to prove that 2024 would not define our nation's future, you just helped deliver the most resounding midterm election victory in decades.

Of course, votes are still being counted, and it will be at least several days before we have complete results in many competitive House and Senate races. Nonetheless, here is what we know so far: we have won both the House and Senate be decisive margins. Across the country, we flipped countless states and districts that Donald Trump won by double digits in 2024. In the popular vote for the House, Democrats are on track for a 13-point victory, the largest margin in any election––midterm or presidential––since 1976. Republicans' attempt to steal seats through mid-decade redistricting failed, as Democrats still won almost every seat they tried to eliminate through egregious gerrymandering. And just like in so many Democratic victories in the past, young people were decisive, voting for Democratic candidates by 40+ point margins according to exit polls. Simply put, this wasn't just the Blue Wave we have been working toward for the past two years. This was a historic Blue Tsunami.

However, we know that this election is only the first step in our mission to take back our country, turn the page on the Trump era for good, and rebuild our democracy stronger than before. The battle for 2028 will start sooner than you would think, and we intend to be ready to keep the Blue Tsunami going.
