Increase Voter Engagement and Completed Ballots

Wave Michigan is raising $20,000 to increase voter turnout with 400,000 registered voters in Michigan who are the least likely to vote in 2020.

Many estimate that 30% of Absentee Ballots started in Michigan won't be finished with the number of votes and voters effected in the hundreds of thousands.

Funds will be used to support initial contacts that offer easy-to-use tools that assist voters in voting from home as well as following up with those voters who start the absentee process to be sure local clerks finally receive their ballots.

So far, more than 50,000 voters have been contacted on the Wave platform by volunteers who are eager to help their friends, family and neighbors vote. The result is that thousands of incremental voters, who were not likely to show up, are now voting absentee and our volunteers are tracking their ballot to be sure they are counted.
