Ground Game LA

Support Immigrant Workers in LA

LA turned out in force against the ICE abductions of our neighbors and the cowardly and disgusting attack on our immigrant communities. The deportation machine has been built by both Democrats and Republicans to keep working people vulnerable to exploitation by the rich, to push narratives of criminalization and fear, and to destabilize the safety and security that our communities build.

Immigrants pour into our communities with love, time, and money, despite what Trump’s propaganda says. Our government repays them with terror. Many Angelenos will tell you a corner with a tacquero is safer and cleaner than any corner with a cop. The immigration system and capitalist carceral structures that support it must be dismantled.

Many of our members may feel incredible anxiety at the thought of leaving their homes for work. The instinct for survival burns in both directions: missing work means missing pay while going to work could result in arrest or deportation. There is no good choice.

We need you, our community, to donate what you can to support our members and their families, to keep them safe and in their homes. These funds will be used to cover missed wages, provide groceries, and support the incredible staff coordinating these efforts.

Immigrants are LA.
