As chair of the Senate Education and Health Committee, Ghazala has championed legislation to fully fund public schools, protect reproductive rights, and defend Medicaid expansion. She has also led efforts on environmental justice and clean energy, sponsoring bills that expand energy efficiency programs and hold utility monopolies accountable.
