Labor 411 Foundation

Good Jobs for Everyone!

At the very first Labor Caucus at the Democratic National Convention in July, Senator Eilzabeth Warren said, “America's unions built the middle class and unions will rebuild the middle class, If we're going to have a strong America, we've got to have strong unions.”

The Labor 411 Foundation was founded to mobilize American consumers around the cause for good jobs for all Americans.

Right now, the American middle class is at risk, and the single greatest reason is the decreasing number of unionized workers. Good American jobs have been outsourced, income inequality is on the rise and retirement security is vanishing. This decline has threatened our nation’s economic security and social stability.

The Labor 411 Foundation is building an Ethical Consumer Movement to empower consumers to use their spending power to reward ethical businesses.

By taking up the cause of protecting American jobs, consumers can:

  • Build the middle class and sustain economic growth
  • Reduce economic inequality
  • Strengthen individual communities
  • Ensure the safe retirement of older Americans
  • Protect the safety of working families
  • Create more high-quality goods and services
  • Stimulate the economy

Your tax deductible donation will help us develop our tool kits for distribution to Labor 411 cities (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Washington DC).  Community organizers in each city will use the tool kits to mobilize their friends, family members and co-workers to promote ethical spending in their own communities.  After the four cities have been activated, we will expand our reach.

We have an opportunity during this critical election season to educate consumers about the power of their wallets and votes.  There is so much at stake this year.  If workers continue to lose their jobs it will have a trickle out effect on families, neighborhoods, local economies, and future generations .

The middle class depends on everyone having a good job.
