GOP slowing down equality in WI

I'll keep this quick since it's a beautiful Friday afternoon in Wisconsin, but this is news you need to know.

I am very concerned to learn this week that the state vital records division also appears to be dragging their feet on creating forms that will be compliant for same sex marriages. These stall tactics are only delaying the inevitable. If Assembly Republicans refuse to acknowledge that all Wisconsinites are equal under the law, it is time for new leadership.

The majority of Wisconsinites celebrated this week as the US Supreme Court refused to take up the appeal of the 7th Circuit's decision to overturn Wisconsin's same-sex marriage ban. Marriage equality is now the law of the land in our great state. Some people, however, were suspiciously silent on this issue after the Court's decision. Namely, all of the Assembly Republicans.

The GOP has consistently fought against equality and has worked to keep discrimination written into our Constitution. It's time to turn the page on this ugly era of our history.
