Mohamed “Mo” Seifeldein is the son of Sudanese refugees who grew up in a working class immigrant family and learned early what it takes to make ends meet. In 2018, he became the first Muslim and Sudanese American elected to the Alexandria City Council, and later served as a federal attorney at the U.S. Department of Labor. He recently resigned on principle in protest of policies he believed undermined the civil service and our democracy. Mo has also worked as a court appointed attorney, supported small businesses, volunteered with legal aid, mentored underserved students, and served on nonprofit boards expanding healthcare access in Sudan. Now he is running for Congress to deliver a bold, people first agenda:
