Steve "Junior" Ezeonu is a progressive, 22 year-old Nigerian-American immigrant who is shaking up the political status quo in Grand Prairie, Texas.
In a town of 200,000 that is majority Black and Hispanic and voted 62% for Joe Biden, the local City Council is completely unrepresentative. Seven of nine members are white and Republican.
Junior is running to fight for quality healthcare and excellent schools. He wants to make sure a recently-passed $75 million bond creates jobs for local community members and contracts for minority-owned businesses.
The June 5 runoff election will be decided by a very close margin. Every dollar raised will go to getting out the vote. Please donate generously — your contribution will make a huge impact!
