Help Green Neighbor Challenge reach every community!

Eliminating pollution from our home energy use should be easy. 85% of the health impacts of air pollution come from burning fossil fuels. Utilities and governments have created a complex web of energy programs and incentives to make the switch affordable, but still the vast majority of the public doesn't know about them, or where to access them. That's where Green Neighbor comes in!

Residents empowering residents! Over the last 5 years, 50+ (mostly volunteer) contributors have invested 15,000+ hours building a webtool to help every US resident to find the energy programs and incentives available to them. Now, with as little as your zip code, you can:

  1. Go green with "Green Pricing" programs
  2. Save money and energy through rebates, tax credits and low-income energy asssistance programs.
  3. Explore Solar options, both rooftop and community

We're also developing tools to help:

  1. Understand your cooperative utility through an interactive scorecard and statewide comparisons
  2. Write your state representatives on key policies preventing communities from taking energy action
  3. Discover and Map your energy system stakeholders
  4. Find grassroots groups to take local action with

To grow this campaign, we need community support! We make and maintain free-to-use tools for the people. Because we are ordinary people too--with families, obligations, hopes, and fears. Extraordinary change happens when ordinary people work together. Every dollar donated helps us reach another person and multiply our impact.

All recurring donations of $5+ will receive a Green Neighbor canvas totebag as a token of our appreciation. These are large (15"x15"x7"), heavy duty (12oz/yd), cotton canvas totes with 2" wide webbed handles for comfort, that can handle as much food as a paper grocery bag, and feature our dendritic neighborhood logo. Let your community know how much you care about clean air!

Together, we can all breathe easier! Take the challenge at GreenNeighborChallenge.org!
