Greg Sheehan has proudly called Valley Cottage home for more than 30 years – only leaving to attend college, where he received a business degree in accounting – and is raising his two sons in the same home where he grew up. His boys are the third generation of Sheehan kids to attend Nyack Public Schools.
Greg's Vision for Clarkstown Town Clerk's Office:
More about Greg:
Greg has been a proud union member of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 825 for more than a decade – working on major infrastructure projects, including the new Tappan Zee Bridge, which has given him firsthand experience managing teams to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. Before joining the IUOE, Greg managed restaurants, where he was responsible for budgets, operations, and staff management.
Service has always been at the heart of Greg's life. After years of working demanding 70-hour weeks on the bridge project, Greg committed even more of his time to the community. He has served as a Sea Tow Captain since 2006, led a Cub Scout den, serves on his church's Board of Worship, organizes community food drives, and is always willing to lend a hand to neighbors in need.
Above all, Greg is a devoted father and caregiver. While raising his two sons, he also helps care for retired and disabled family members. His life has been defined by hard work, responsibility, and service – values he will bring to the Clarkstown Town Clerk's Office.
