As a victim of gun violence and a hugely important voice for the GVP movement, Tom has been a top target for Republicans and the Gun Lobby, and remains so. The woman who led the 2019 recall against him, which was eventually dropped is currently chair of the CO Republican Party.

Shannon Watts is an American gun violence prevention activist and the founder of Moms Demand Action, the nation’s largest grassroots group fighting against gun violence in America.
T. Christian Heyne is the Vice President of Policy for Brady United, leading all legislative efforts at the federal and state level. Prior to assuming this position, Christian served as the legislative director at the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. Christian began advocating for stronger gun laws after a man with a history of violence shot his parents on Memorial Day 2005.
Peter Gurfein is an attorney, avid hunter, and gun safety advocate. He has been shooting and bird hunting for a total of about 50 years. He owns several shotguns, handguns, and a rifle. He is a former prosecutor and mediator and currently serves as Vice President of the Colorado chapter of Giffords Gun Owners for Safety.
Jason Crow proudly represents Colorado’s 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Jason serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the Small Business Committee, and he is honored to serve as Vice-Chair of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force and the National Security Task Force.
Joe Neguse proudly represents Colorado’s 2nd District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was elected to his first term in November 2018, becoming the first African-American member of Congress in Colorado history. He serves as a member of the House Judiciary Committee, the House Natural Resources Committee and the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. Additionally, he serves as Chair of the Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests and Public Lands and Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship.
Tom Sullivan currently serves as representative for the 37th House District in the Colorado General Assembly and faces a competitive general election to be Colorado's 27th District's next State Senator. Tom began his political career, advocating for gun safety reform and gun violence prevention policy, after a gunman opened fire at the Century 16 Movie Theater in Aurora, CO, 10 years ago, and tragically killed his son, Alex, on his 27th birthday.
