During the 2023 legislative session, we successfully defeated legislation that would drain millions of dollars from our public schools, expanded the HOPE Scholarship, tabled the Don’t Say Gay bill, and helped secure the first committee hearing on gun safety legislation in six years. This is just the start for us in 2023.
This summer, we’re investing in local advocacy at the school board, city council, and county commission levels; training opportunities for the next generation of advocates; and voter education and turnout programs to make sure young Georgians vote in critical local elections. With over 1,000 races on the ballot this fall at the city council, mayoral, and school board level, we must make sure the voices of young Georgians are heard.
