What is food insecurity and why should I care?
Food insecurity is the insufficient access to nutritious food needed for a healthy and active life, affecting millions globally due to factors like poverty, resource inequality, and systemic barriers. This issue goes beyond violating basic human rights, leading to hunger, malnutrition, and adverse health outcomes. Beyond immediate suffering, it perpetuates cycles of poverty, hampers economic development, and worsens social inequalities.
