Much of the foundation of my public service has been based on finding ways to catapult our state out of our repeated position at the bottom of so many rankings.

While many states are recovering, and even making gains around employment, job creation and education, just this month we learned that while we have the lowest unemployment since 2007, it's in large part due to our state's declining population and graduation rates.

To turn things around we need big ideas, innovation and leadership.

"Hope for New Mexico" is working all across the state to support community leaders who embody this spirit. Support our efforts with a $15, $35 or even $75 contribution.

The issues that most impact our families - good jobs, a solid public education, reliable healthcare - must get attention over wedge issues that might sound good on campaign ads, but rarely move the ball forward for the people of New Mexico.
