Trader Joe's United

You support makes us powerful.

Trader Joe's workers across the country thank you for your support. When we say that it's you who makes this possible, it's not an exaggeration.

We are an independent worker-led movement going up against a multi-billion dollar company. And, with virtually unlimited resources for legal warfare, Trader Joe's has not been shy about acting unlawfully. In fact, we believe that may be part of their strategy.

In the past two years, on the East Coast alone, Trader Joe's has fired at least five union supporters. And, while our membership knows that we will fight for them— for Trader Joe's, creating a new expensive legal battle may be the point in itself.

Trader Joe's has also launched what we believe to be a retaliatory lawsuit over the merch we sell on our online store. This not only creates another expensive legal battle, it also attacks a significant part of the fundraising that would pay for it.

Finally, by refusing to bargain in good faith, Trader Joe's has stalled our first contract. And, without a contract, we cannot yet collect union dues to fund our operational expenses.

It seems that Trader Joe's has a simple strategy— make it as expensive as possible to defend our membership, while attacking any fundraising infrastructure that would pay for it. But, unfortunately for Trader Joe's, that's not going to be enough to stop us.

Would you consider making a solidarity contribution to Trader Joe’s United, so we can continue to fight for Trader Joe's workers across the country? It's working-class supporters like you that make this all possible.

Thank you for your continued support.
