Elect Maria: A Birthday Celebration and Fundraiser
Saturday, January 20th, 4 - 6pm, join me at The Heartland Bar 7006 N Glenwood Ave (formerly the Redline Tap), for the official launch of my campaign for Alderwoman of the 49th Ward and to help me raise money to get elected!
For many of us, the events of this last year have crystalized the urgent need for a change in direction and that requires a change in leadership. I look at January 20th as a day of solidarity and new beginnings: it marks the first anniversary of 45's inauguration, the date of the 2nd Women's March, and also my 37th birthday. I need your support and your presence to kick-off my campaign with hope and power.
Let’s bring community voice and community choice to the 49th Ward.

Contribution rules
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I understand that by ordinance of the City of Chicago, no lobbyist registered with the Board of Ethics, or person who has done business with City within the preceding four reporting years, or person who is seeking to do business with the City, shall contribute over $1,500 during a calendar year. This includes persons doing or seeking to do business with the: City of Chicago, Chicago Transit Authority, Board of Education, Chicago Park District, Chicago City Colleges, Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, Chicago Housing Authority, or Public Building Commission.
