Over 70 of Tennessee's 95 county's have at least half their population living in rural areas. And with 99 state house districts and 33 state senate districts, of those seats are majority rural districts. In other words, to flip Tennessee Blue, we have to invest in state and local candidates running in majority rural districts.
Harvesting Democracy will donate funds to state and local progressive candidates, with a specific emphasis on local candidates.
A focus that includes state-level will invest in building a bench of candidates who can run for higher office.
Please consider donating to support this longterm goal. Wins here will be small at first, that will include a few flipped seats, but a lot of needle moves. And we can't flip a seat until we move the needle.
Together, let's put the emphasis back on rural.
And remember, if we turn out the vote in rural areas, we are more likely to flip seats for statewide office.
