Angela Gonzales-Torres is a democratic socialist running for congress in California's 34th District.


Angela is a lifelong Angeleno and a DSA-LA member who secured the local chapters first ever, congressional endorsement and she's been endorsed by National DSA as well.


She's running to unseat corporate-backed incumbent Jimmy Gomez who is under a House Ethics investigation for sexual misconduct with a congressional staffer.


Jimmy Gomez has received over $2.6 million from Pro-Israel PACS including AIPAC and he’s voted to send more than $3 billion of your tax dollars to Israel. 


Gonzales-Torres’s congressional agenda takes up federal housing investment, labor protections, Medicare for All and abolishing ICE. Recent polling has her as the leading by 3%.


Born and raised in Highland Park, Gonzales-Torres is the daughter of a deportee and grew up with a single mother who relied on SNAP and Medicaid.


She has committed to participating in DSA-LA’s Socialists in Office program, a committee where DSA electeds meet and organize with chapter leaders, if elected.
