Donate to Dr. Kevin Hayakawa for RUSD School Board 2026

My name is Dr. Kevin Hayakawa, and I'm running for re-election to the Rowland Unified School District Board of Education in Trustee Area 5.

Rowland Unified isn't just the district I represent—it's the district that raised me. I attended RUSD schools from kindergarten through 12th grade, exclusively within Trustee Area 5: Ybarra Academy, Telesis Academy of Science and Math, and John A. Rowland High School. Today, I'm proud to be the only current Board member who attended our local public schools in the 21st century.

As a physics professor in California's public higher education system, I bring a perspective that bridges K–12 education with the opportunities awaiting our graduates at community colleges, California State Universities, the University of California, apprenticeships, military service, and the workforce.

During my first term, I've worked to strengthen our schools by investing in students, supporting our educators and classified professionals, maintaining responsible fiscal stewardship, and expanding opportunities for every student to succeed.

Looking ahead, I want to continue strengthening STEM education in Rowland Unified by expanding access to rigorous science coursework, including Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate, so that our future engineers, scientists, healthcare professionals, and innovators are well prepared for college and beyond.

Public service is about giving back to the community that invested in me. I'm asking for your support so we can continue building on the progress we've made together.

Every contribution—large or small—helps us reach voters throughout Trustee Area 5. Thank you for your support!
