Hector De La Torre

Donate to Hector De La Torre for Congress (CA-41)

Hector De La Torre is the career corruption fighter we need in Congress: fighting for good government, protecting health care, defending our environment, and innovating to improve our quality of life.

A lifelong resident of Southeast Los Angeles County, Hector was a South Gate councilmember and mayor, widely credited for leading residents in a grassroots campaign to recall corrupt elected officials.

As an Assemblymember, Hector fought to end the heinous practice of retroactive health insurance cancellation and authored the California version of preventive health care that was included in Obamacare.

Hector was also the longest-serving Chair of LA Care, ensuring that over two million MediCal recipients in Los Angeles County have access to quality care.

As a member of the California Air Resources Board, De La Torre fights to clean up air pollution that harms our health and pushes for reductions in greenhouse gases that cause climate change.
