A lifelong resident of Caldwell County, I proudly served in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard for 32 years, engaging in combat operations in the Middle East and collaborating with the U.S. Border Patrol on the Texas border.
My extensive law enforcement background includes roles as a Caldwell County Deputy Sheriff, City of Austin Park Police Marine Enforcement Officer, Travis County Precinct 4 Deputy Constable Warrant Officer, and Caldwell County Precinct 4 Deputy Constable. Currently, I serve as Chief of Homeland Security and Emergency Management for Caldwell County, where I've provided crucial assistance during natural and manmade disasters.
Holder of a Master TCOLE Peace Officer License with over 11,000 combined professional and training hours, I've received numerous meritorious awards and commendations throughout my military and law enforcement careers.
As your Sheriff, my mission is to foster a collaborative relationship between the community and the Sheriff’s Department, ensuring everyone's safety. I commit to transparency in critical situations, welcoming input, and suggestions. My vision includes implementing new technologies, enhancing law enforcement training, and establishing a Multi-Agency Task Force for streamlined procedures and issue resolution within the county.
