Help Georgia Working Families Power Keep the HEY! House Open

Helping Empower Youth (HEY!) is more than a program — it’s a lifeline. Since 2009, founder KaCey Venning has built HEY! to give Black youth in Atlanta — especially Black boys — a real shot at success. In a city celebrated as the Black mecca but ranked number one in income inequality, the HEY! House has been a place of healing, mentorship, job readiness, and educational support.

But now, HEY! is in crisis. Federal policy rollbacks, including the repeal of critical racial equity programs, have dried up essential funding. HEY! has already been forced to cut staff and reduce hours. If we don’t act now, the doors may close — turning away youth who rely on this space every day.

That’s where you — and Georgia Working Families Power — come in. When you donate to Georgia Working Families Power today, you’re helping keep HEY! House open and thriving. Your contribution allows us to provide direct support, raise visibility, and help sustain the mission of this vital community institution.

This isn’t just about one building — it’s about our city’s future. The young people nurtured at HEY! are graduating, launching businesses, and building power — because someone believed in them.

Donate to Georgia Working Families Power today and be part of keeping that belief alive. Let’s invest in Black youth. Let’s protect spaces built on love, justice, and possibility. Let’s make sure HEY! House stays open.
