California Women's List

Her Stories on the Campaign Trail

Join California Women's List on Tuesday August 29th, 6-8 p.m. at the California Democratic Party Office (1830 9th St.) in Sacramento for the groundbreaking release of our Her Stories Report, analyzing the hostility women face running for office and impacts on mental health, and a discussion featuring:

  • Senator Caroline Menjivar (SD-20)
  • Assemblymember Mia Bonta (AD-18)
  • Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen (AD-10)
  • Jocelyn Tapia, LMFT
  • Sarah Carson, PhD, Director of Communications & Operations, Emerge California
  • Danielle Cendejas, Partner, The Strategy Group

Women still face significant barriers while running for office. Some are well-documented while other barriers are less visible.

When women run for office, they face a barrage of hostility. While women can and have persevered through these challenges to win their elections, we at California Women’s List are asking whether they should have to.

Join us on August 29th to discuss how we can use our collective power to eradicate hostility against women and gender-expansive people in politics.
