With thanks to the Source of Life and all of our friends and family, we welcomed to the world our new baby, who was born at 2:53am on September 6!
Instead of baby gifts, we are asking friends and family to donate to the fight for pro-family labor policies like paid sick days. While New Jersey is one of the handful of states in the country with paid family leave - which Adam is about to use - there are still 1.2 million New Jerseyans who can't take a single paid sick day off from work when their child falls ill.
New Jersey Working Families is an independent political organization that has successfully advanced nine local paid sick days ordinances in municipalities like Jersey City, Newark, Montclair, Bloomfield and Trenton. Your donation to NJWF will be used advocating for more local paid sick days laws and, eventually, a statewide bill that will ensure no New Jerseyan ever gets fired because their baby catches a cold!
Thanks for your support of us and all of the other working parents in our community.
