When Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, Black and poor people were left to die in the richest country in the world. Every year since, we commemorate our loved ones we lost and demand justice that puts people first. This year we showed out for the 20th anniversary, bringing together thousands in the heart of the lower 9th ward. We turned memories into actions that will be remembered forever. Recap Video

Since 2008, Respect My Vote! has mobilized hundreds of thousands of voters, fought voter suppression, and made civic power part of culture. We launched the Artivist Class, a group of artists, creatives, influencers, and industry professionals who are not just creating art—they’re rallying the vote and making sure we all have access to the mic.

Think100% is leading on climate justice. From national film festivals to grassroots wins in Georgia and Pennsylvania, we are shifting narratives and policies toward justice first. We helped flip two seats on Georgia’s Public Service Commission for the first time in 20 years. We developed tools to reveal how uncontrolled utility power was causing harm to working people. This leadership change presents a fresh opening for progress on energy justice, to end fossil fuel favoritism and to advocate for fair energy rates throughout the South.

Justice Paid in Full in fighting for a future that's Black and Green! We moved $40 million through our Bank Black & Green campaign to be divested from environmentally and socially harmful industries and invested into Black-led banks and BIPOC-centered initiatives. With the support of 9 Black banks and 11 impact investors, we are now able to make significant and rapid changes to the financial system so that it will become community-serving.

We’re proud of our accomplishments, but the fight is far from over. Thank you for donating and for all that you do for a better world.
