In this defining moment in our history, we have to ask ourselves, are we courageous enough to stand for change? So much of our politics, public life, and discourse seem shallow and mean-spirited. Trafficking in bombast and insult, in phony controversies, and manufactured outrage. This kind of politics pretends to be courageous and resilient but, in truth, is born of fear and ignorance. We know in our hearts that this is not who we are, and we have an opportunity to change course; to build a new kind of politics that embraces everyone and uplifts us all; no matter who we are, where we come from, or how we start in life.

That's why I'm excited to launch Higher Ground PAC; a PAC rooted in the belief that everyone deserves equal access to a safe, equitable, and prosperous future.
