You’re thinking strategically and clinging to the hope that enough Republicans would vote for Liz Cheney, even if they won’t vote for a Democratic Speaker.
But remember, Liz Cheney ain’t woke in Wyoming. Her policy agenda is directly counter to most Democrats’ priorities, so she won’t get much Democratic support.
On the plus side, she had the courage to stand up to Donald Trump and try to defend our democracy against MAGA extremism. But sadly, that means that she won’t get much support from Republicans either.
There’s only one way forward to realistically end the chaos in Congress. Democrats MUST take back the House in order to stop the GOP-fueled chaos, elect Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker, and get the people’s House back to doing the people’s work.
