The Healthy Ocean Coalition (HOC) is a network of ocean lovers committed to a future with a healthy and resilient ocean. Your contribution today will support our community of grassroots and frontline community leaders.


The ocean is life. We need the ocean for oxygen, food, jobs, and, yes - even joy. But we've weakened it through overfishing, pollution, and climate change. The ocean needs protection, and that requires people who care calling on our decision-makers to increase current or create new protections.


That's where the HOC comes in. Our flagship program, the Healthy Ocean Advocacy Academy (HOAA), educates and equips individuals to become effective champions for ocean conservation and justice.


To continue this work, we need to raise $50,000 by the end of the year to continue the Healthy Ocean Advocacy Academy.


Your donation will support:

  • Sponsoring future ocean justice advocates by keeping our Academies FREE of charge.
  • Increasing advocacy and communications support for Academy graduates who are working on local campaigns to protect their communities and the ocean.
  • Amplifying the important work of graduate advocates and organizations through our multi-media advocate platform, Voices of a Healthy Ocean.
