She is an strong advocate of public education for all young people; diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; and improving our town's outdated and inaccessible educational facilities.
Rachel's professional background and work as a scientist and educator has provided the skills and expertise needed to lead and shape educational policy in Braintree.
Rachel is community leader in Braintree. As an active co-President of the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) at the Flaherty Elementary School, her biggest priority has been to strengthen the community through more family involvement, community activities, and DEI-related initiatives. She loves working with young people on a daily basis as a swim coach at the Hale Family YMCA (Quincy) and a volunteer coach for South Braintree Girls Softball and Braintree Summer Track Club.
