Last year, we continued our fight to Come Back Stronger, Louisiana.

Here is what House Democrats focused on this session:

• Giving tax help to the middle class, not handouts to the wealthy and big corporations;
• Avoiding divisive legislation that tarnishes our reputation and sets back our comeback, like new laws to restrict voting; 
• Protecting our people from abuse, ensuring that predators are held accountable and survivors don't fall through the cracks;
• Ending the fiscal cliffs permanently with smart tax reform and responsible budgeting;
• Investing in education from pre-K through college to grow our economy—including pay raises for educators;
• Continuing commonsense criminal justice reforms that make us safer and smarter;
• And spending the stimulus money sent to us by President Biden and Congressional Democrats to help people who really need help, like our small businesses, frontline workers and storm victims.
