Please help support Housing First Umpqua education, advocacy and action to end homelessness in Douglas County.

HFU education efforts have helped inform public officials, policy makers and the public about best practices to end homelessness. This includes not just the need for permanent housing but also other services, supports and policy changes.


Our advocacy efforts have help motivate change in local public policies and we will continue to do so as long as we still have people living on the streets.


HFU Actions include support we provide to Team Smiles who does street outreach to provide meals, survival supplies, and access to resources. Our actions also include the operation of HFU's community effort, The Garden on Mill Street, which helps feed our homelessness neighbors and provide them an opportunity to help grow food.
