The Historic Paradise Foundation NFP is providing a year-round after school and enrichment program that will be available for 174 school days to reduce the learning loss experienced from the Covid-19 learning loss. Per data from the 2021 SC READY Scores, poor students, black students, males’ reading, and females’ math have the greatest needs.
The after school program will provide access to daily homework help, academic tutoring, computerized tutoring, and enrichment activities. Support will be provided by high school peers, certified teachers, retired individuals, and volunteers from local faith organizations and the greater communities. The children will continue to engage academically to prevent summer academic slide.
The 35-week program will begin September 6, 2022 and will end May 26, 2023. The hours are from 2:30 pm until 6:00 pm. School holidays, winter break, and summer breaks will be observed.
