JoAnna Mendoza is running to unseat an anti-equality U.S. House member and flip Arizona's 6th Congressional district from Red to Blue. This flippable seat is crucial to winning back a pro-equality majority in the House of Representatives.


Mendoza is openly LGBTQ+, Latina, and a decorated veteran. At just 17, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy before later serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Drill Instructor. She served for 20 years before returning home to raise her son and return to school.


Mendoza has served as a nonprofit leader, veteran advocate, congressional staffer, and policy expert, helping families access benefits, organizing community programs, and fighting for common-sense solutions.


She is extremely qualified and well prepared to serve in Congress. We must help flip this seat and elect JoAnna Mendoza.
