Urgent U.S. House Race (March 3)

  • Rep. Julie Johnson (D-TX) was directly targeted by Gov. Greg Abbott's gerrymandering scheme and now faces a competitive primary election on March 3rd. She is the first openly LGBTQ+ person elected to Congress from Texas and a fierce champion in the U.S. House.


Openly LGBTQ+ U.S. House Candidates

  • Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) made history as the first openly transgender person to serve in Congress
  • Rep. Emily Randall (D-WA) is the first openly queer Latina to serve in Congress, and the first woman and person of color to represent her district (WA-06).
  • California state Sen. Scott Wiener (D-CA) is running for the open Congressional seat in San Francisco and will be the first openly LGBTQ+ Representative from Northern California.


Priorities for U.S. Senate

  • Republicans are targeting Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA), who has been a consistent supporter of choice, marriage equality and the Equality Act.
  • Angie Craig (D-MN) was the first openly LGBTQ mom elected to Congress, and now she's running to bring pro-equality leadership to the US Senate.
  • As New Hampshire's first out Member, Chris Pappas (D-NH) sponsored the Equality Act and helped protect marriage equality.
