Send Harrisonburg/Rockingham Young Democrats to the VAYD Annual Convention in Norfolk!

We need you help to maintain the momentum following the amazing 2025 Virginia elections!

With your generous support we can send a group of HRYD members to the VAYD Annual Conference in Norfolk from March 27-29.

Last year, Harrisonburg/Rockingham Young Democrats hosted a record-breaking convention. This year, we are excited to support our friends in Hampton Roads as we travel to their incredible region to attend the annual VAYD Convention. We are excited to leave our beautiful mountains for the sunny beach, but need your support to make it possible.

Each spring, over 400 Young Democrats from across Virginia convene to elect statewide VAYD leadership, train with industry professionals to gain real-life skills they can use to positively impact their communities, and develop their leadership abilities. VAYD conventions foster relationship-building that strengthens our year-round efforts to elect Democrats up and down the ballot and leads to new Young Dem chapters around the Commonwealth. 

We'd be grateful for your support in sending as many Harrisonburg/Rockingham Young Democrats as possible to Hampton Roads and to show that Harrisonburg/Rockingham is a statewide leader!

We hoping to fundraise to cover registration and a hotel room for the weekend. In total, we are hoping to fundraise about $1000 to cover lodging for 5 HRYD members.

We believe cost should never prevent young people from stepping into leadership and making their voices heard. That’s why we’re asking local supporters like you to help us ensure that every young person who wants to attend has the chance to participate in this transformative experience.
