A proud son of Dorchester, Dan Hunt has built his career in public service with a strong commitment to the community that raised him and that he still proudly calls home.


Since 2014, he has represented Dorchester in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, drawing on deep local roots and practical, hands- on experience to advocate for families across the Commonwealth.


In the Legislature, Dan has built a reputation for delivering results. He currently serves as House Chair of the Joint Committee on Election Laws, where he is focused on strengthening election integrity, modernizing voter access, and addressing emerging challenges related to technology and election security.
