Disaster Relief Fund for Workers Impacted by Hurricanes

Support workers impacted by the Hurricanes. 

We offer individual cash stipends for low-wage workers impacted by hurricanes Helene and Milton. Workers can use their stipends to build collective power, and address critical needs like housing, food, healthcare, and more.

This relief Fund is a joint effort of the Coworker Solidarity Fund, Asheville Food and Beverage United and members of the Union of Southern Service Workers.

Please note that the worker committee will prioritize funds raised for workers impacted by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina and Hurricane Milton in Florida. However, the Committee may disburse funds in solidarity with other workers building collective power. If not enough contributions are raised to support the launch of this Fund by November 15, 2024, donations will be regranted to local nonprofits like Beloved Asheville and Poder Emma.

Your contribution will go directly to workers facing hardship to pay rent, health insurance, legal fees, and organizing expenses so they can continue to fight for change.
