The Indo-American Democratic Organization (IADO) was founded by a small group of South-Asian American leaders in 1980. Since its inception we have become a strong, unified voice for the South-Asian Americans in the socio-economic and political spheres of Illinois.
Our mission is to engage South Asians in the political process; to recruit and support candidates to run for public office; and to lobby on behalf of the South Asian community on issues such as Social Security, Medicare, Healthcare, Education, Immigration and Hate Crimes.
