The Institute for the Critical Study of Zionism (ICSZ) is an anti-Zionist organization that supports research, education, and collaborations between activists and academics. Our work looks critically at Zionism as a history, ideology, and power structure that shapes all of our lives. It provides essential support for the Palestine solidarity movement and wider global movements to stop racism and colonialism.
We need independent institutions to support public knowledge about Zionism. Universities have restricted and punished study. Zionist funders have used wealth as a lever to shut down discussion from schools to museums to theaters. Right-wing elected officials have used public funding, police, threats of deportation, and more to try to restrict public discourse.
It's up to communities to build the resources we need. ICSZ supports research, study, teaching, sharing knowledge, and resisting repression. We build communities that can keep doing this work, even under difficult conditions.
ICSZ is fundraising to expand our staff and launch fellowships for activist and scholarly researchers.
Monthly recurring donations are especially sustaining, all donations greatly appreciated!
