We are Natalia Ioffe, Ahmed Kheir, and Melany Cruz Burgos, running together on the Education Matters slate for the Jersey City Board of Education as part of the November 5, 2024 General Election
Jersey City is the most diverse city in the nation, and we are proud to reflect that diversity on our slate. Each of us came to New Jersey from different communities—Ukraine, Egypt, and Puerto Rico—practice different faiths, and speak different languages. What unites us is our deep care for Jersey City, where we've set roots and are raising families, and our shared passion for public education.
We are running because we believe in the power of public education to elevate children from every background, race, faith, or circumstance, equipping them for success. With experience across business, science, and law, we bring a unique set of professional skills to elevate the work of the Jersey City Board of Education to the highest level of professionalism. Natalia and Melany have experience serving on school boards, while Ahmed and Natalia currently have children in the Jersey City Public Schools. Together, we are committed to making a positive impact in the district by advocating for equitable, high-quality education for all students.
Your support will help us advocate for fair funding, and robust academic and athletic programs that foster academic achievement and personal growth. By contributing to our campaign, you’ll be directly supporting our vision for a school system that prioritizes students, educators, and families.
Donate today to help us make a lasting difference in Jersey City!
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us closer to building a brighter future for our students. Thank you for your generosity!
