Catch Fire Movement

Contribute to the Immigrant Safety Fund!

The need to protect immigrant rights and safety has never been greater.

We set up this fund to serve immigrant interests in Northern Arizona. The funds will provide much-needed legal assistance, educate the community about immigration-related issues, and advocate for immigrant safety and human rights.

Think of it as a way of helping individual people through direct legal services AND affecting systemic change.

Why are we setting the goal at $26,315? That's how much it takes for many who came to the United States as children to pursue freedom, citizenship, and life outside our society's shadows. The journey is long, expensive, and complicated, and can be derailed at any step of this arduous, bureaucratic, and often dehumanizing process.

Over the years, we have relied on the Flagstaff Police Department and Coconino County Sheriff's Office and their promises to stop racially profiling our community and detaining migrants for ICE to pick up and deport. The detention data compiled by Syracuse University show that more than 1,400 migrants were held in the Coconino County Jail through 2023 to be handed over to ICE.

It's time we advocate to change the Flagstaff Police Department and Coconino County Sheriff's policies that terrorize the immigrant community and tear families apart.

Thank you for seeing our neighbors for who they are—human beings deserving to live with dignity and without fear. Thank you for donating.
