Here at TakeItBack.Org we believe that when the system is structured in a way that it works for everyone, as opposed to just a few, we all live longer, healthier lives.
A 2017 study by the American Cancer Society sums up our view perfectly: women WITHOUT health insurance, who are diagnosed with breast cancer, are 60% MORE likely to die from the disease.
Sadly, people like Senator Joni Ernst, who recently released a bill to allow Association (junk) Health Plans, that could discriminate against women with breast cancer, seem to be more interested in doing favors for their big donors as opposed to building a comprehensive health system that works for everyone.
