The future of Indiana won't be built by chance—it will be built by the people we invest in today.
The Indiana Rural Summit Intern Program connects emerging leaders with candidates and campaigns serving rural and small-town communities across the state. Through hands-on experience in organizing, communications, voter outreach, event planning, and community engagement, interns gain real-world skills while helping strengthen local democracy where it is needed most.
Our goal is to support 20 interns working alongside candidates and organizers across Indiana. These internships provide meaningful opportunities for students and young professionals who may not otherwise have access to campaign training, mentorship, and leadership development. At the same time, they expand the capacity of candidates working to reach voters in communities that are too often overlooked.
This investment goes beyond a single election cycle. Every intern we train today becomes part of a growing network of organizers, advocates, campaign staff, community leaders, and future candidates who will help shape Indiana for years to come. By supporting this program, you're helping build the next generation of leadership while strengthening rural organizing right now.
When we invest in young people, we invest in stronger communities. When we invest in rural organizing, we ensure every Hoosier has a voice, a choice, and a vote.
Help us Build Today. Lead Tomorrow.
Support 20 interns and help create the
next generation of rural leaders for Indiana.
