We cannot just sit back and surrender.
This term the Supreme Court will make a decision in Moore v. Harper, one of the most consequential cases for our democracy in decades.
Moore v. Harper could legitimize a radical legal idea called the “independent state legislature theory,” which could hand gerrymandered state legislatures unlimited power to undermine voting rights and manipulate our elections.
This theory was the cornerstone of Trump-backed attempts to overturn the 2020 election — but it lacked legal legitimacy at the time. It didn't work then, but if the Supreme Court sides with Republicans in Moore, the results of the next election could turn out much differently.
We cannot sit by and allow six right-wing justices to continue dismantling our democracy — we must expand and rebalance the Supreme Court.
We will not win this fight if we don’t show up, chip in to help us grow this movement today.
